Therapy for “everyday” people who are having a hard time with anxiety/depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Become the person you want to be.
To other people it looks like you have your “stuff” together. But inside, it feels like you’re falling apart.
You know what I’m talking about. You can do it most of the time…..
get to work and do your job
or do your college classes
spend time with your partner
spend time with kids, parent them the best you know how
manage finances
take care of your health (physical, mental, spiritual)
keep up to date on social media
take care of extended family and their obligations
buy groceries and make meals
keep the house manageably clean and functioning
stay in touch with friends
Now, let’s add some sort of unexpected difficulty into the mix like:
an aging parent
parenting (a teenager, toddler, newborn, adult child)
a mental health diagnosis like anxiety or depression (you or someone else in your family)
a death or a loss
relationship issues
stress at work
retiring
moving jobs
moving homes
health issues
empty nest
This is where you start to struggle with making everything in your life work. You are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, tearful, forgetful, angry, and irritable. It is affecting your relationships with others. You may be experiencing sleep issues, headaches, or stomachaches.
I can help you understand yourself and your situation better, so that you can take action to feel better.
We’ll have some real conversations that will use humor, empathy, thought, and understanding to make changes, cope, and get back to “normal.”

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”
—Glenn Close
Therapy for Adults and older teens
who are having a hard time.
“Do I really need therapy?” You might be thinking. Let’s be honest here. Therapy is for everyone at some point in their life. It’s really not an extreme option and it shouldn’t be our last option. We all experience difficult times in our life and would benefit from a professional as well as the support of our friends and family to help us through it.
Teletherapy Services
I offer teletherapy services using a HIPPA secure platform to allow for continuation of therapy services when you can’t make it into my office. You are participating in a session from the comfort of your own home. Teletherapy is similar to a FaceTime call or Zoom call. It can be used if one of us is feeling ill and shouldn’t come into the office. This is especially helpful to be safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also helpful in situations regarding weather advisories or times where you can’t make a scheduled session due to travel times or distance, but you could connect with a device. Research is showing that teletherapy is just as effective as face to face sessions.
