How do I get started?

You can email, call or text me to initiate services. We can set up a phone call so that I can understand what type of service you need and if I can help you with that. This is also a time for you to ask questions as well. If I can help you and you think that I might be a person that you could work with, then we’ll schedule an appointment.

How does billing work?

My fees are between $170 and $130. I offer a 25% discount off my regular fees if I don’t have to bill your insurance. This is because it is way less work for me. You are welcome to submit a receipt to your insurance company if you would like, to reimburse yourself. I can provide a receipt if you wish.

I accept payment of cash, check, or credit cards. I use an app that is HIPPA compliant to process credit cards. It is called IvyPay. This app requires you to put a credit card on file. I like this app, as I never have access to your credit card information. You will be notified when you are being charged for services. There is a link in the text message that will provide you with a receipt.

Prior to starting sessions, I would advise you to call your insurance company to verify benefits. I do not do this for you. If your insurance is not active, or you have a deductible, you will still be responsible for paying my services. I do not take co-pays at the time of your session. I will bill your co-pays after the insurance company pays me.

What happens in therapy?

Your first two or three sessions will be spent gathering information so that I can fully understand you. We will talk about your current situation, your background, and all the different parts of your life such as family, work, school, social, spiritual, sexual, and your physical state. After this is completed, you and I will develop a plan to address goals that you want to accomplish in sessions. We will decide how often you should come to sessions and how you would like to learn. Everyone’s therapy experience will be different based on his/her needs. This is considered to be “client-centered” therapy.

Where are you located?

I am located in beautiful downtown Jackson in the Blake building.

 Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
